The REALISE IT Network received most of it's funds from the EU LIFE fund as a demonstration project. Its aims were to investigate innovative ways of diverting unwanted IT from landfill and incineration and to increase access to IT in the community.

Part of the REALISE brief was to share the knowledge generated through project operation. A series of reports have been produced providing details of how the various services operated, how they were developed and how successful they were. Recommendations are provided to enable replication or assist in the development of similar projects elsewhere.

In addition a number of reports and resources were developed throughout the operation of the REALISE IT Network - some are presented here.

One of the main reasons for the development of the REALISE IT Network was to examine possible responses to the implementation of the EU WEEE Directive. Throughout project operation and development various resources concerning the directive were found and some have been made available on this site.
